These show the engine bay. Haven't done any work to make it look nice. Just a few mods. The easiest to see is my AEM Short Ram intake. You can see clearly on my intake where it was rubbing against the hoodliner. I noticed it after a couple of days, and then cut the liner out above the intake. I also ended up installed the RK Sport Lower Engine Mount with Mark Pain's bushings. That helped keep the engine from rocking at all. I had noticed that my intake had been tapping the hood slightly. I guess that was since my factory mount was getting old? Who knows. I initially had the regular RK Sport Lower Mount installed and I just couldn't stand the noice and vibrations from it. With the different bushings, it is definately bearable now. It's only an issue when the RPM's are under 2000 and under load. Against the firewall, you can see my strut tower brace also.
These show my exhaust system. In these pictures, I have the RKSport Single Cat-Back installed. The RK Sport system isn't too bad of a system. There were a few problems I encounted with it though. First off, the clamps on this system just plain 'ol suck. Just have the exhaust shop weld the joints once it is installed. When the exhaust shop installed the system for me, they removed the factory resonator. Man does this system sound like crap without a resonator. Way too raspy, full of bees when cold, and way too loud for my tastes. So I took it back to the shop and asked about a glasspack. They ordered me one and installed it right after the cat. Much better sound quality. You can listen to the differences of my exhaust here. I also had to have the shop work on raising the whole exhaust system up a bit. Once I lowered my car, the cat kept dragging on stuff. After about 6 months or so, the bracket holding the muffler on broke. The Magnaflow muffler had a steel bracket welded onto it that was bolted to the rear bumper. That was what replaced the factory mounting bracket for the muffler. Well, I noticed one day some odd noises from the back of my car and sure enough, the bracket had broken. So I just took it to Midas and they welded on a generic bracket in place of the solid one, so now it has some room to move around and stuff.
These show my RK Sport sway-bar. It's kinda tough to see but it'sthe small bar under the axle. This is the best mod I have done so far. Adding a rear sway-bar improves the handling so much on these cars.
The rest of these are just various angles of my car. You can also notice the before and after differences from when I got my Eibach Pro-Kit Springs installed. With the factory taillights is the before, and with the Carbon Fiber Altezzas is after.
Here are some pictures of my car from the 2002 J-Bash in Ohio.
